The DRA-CT Edition doesn&#8217;t change how the DRA routes, distributes, or manipulates Diameter message, that logic is carried forward unchanged. What changes is how operators interact with it.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"423\" data-end=\"612\">From configuration files to a control plane<\/h3><p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">The open source DRA has always been configured through XML rule files, edited by hand and reloaded. The DRA-CT Edition replaces that workflow with a Management GUI backed by a management service that applies every change to the running node over its management interface, and reads the result back for confirmation.<br \/>That includes:<br \/><\/span><\/p><ul class=\"ak-ul\" data-local-id=\"b63ff862cbcf\" data-indent-level=\"1\"><li><p data-renderer-start-pos=\"2078\" data-local-id=\"d0e6497afb95\"><b>Graphical configuration <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of peer identity, network, peers, realms, and application identifiers \u2014 as validated forms, not raw XML<\/span>.<\/p><\/li><li><p data-renderer-start-pos=\"2204\" data-local-id=\"9517ae55a1ad\"><b>Routing rule administration<\/b>, <b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">including explicit, conflict-safe reordering of rules \u2014 since the DRA evaluates rules in the order they&#8217;re declared, getting that order right matters, and the GUI won&#8217;t let two operators silently overwrite each other&#8217;s changes<\/span><\/b>.<\/p><\/li><li><p data-renderer-start-pos=\"2204\" data-local-id=\"9517ae55a1ad\"><b>Host and rule association<\/b>, <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">so a destination host&#8217;s priority, weight, and AVP-rewriting behavior can be managed once and reused across every rule that points to it<\/span>.<\/p><\/li><li><strong>A live operational view\u00a0<\/strong>of <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">gateway and peer state, read directly from the node \u2014 nothing inferred, nothing cached longer than it should be.<\/span><\/li><li><strong>Lifecycle control\u00a0<\/strong>to <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">start and stop the Diameter stack or individual peers without restarting the node.<\/span><\/li><li><strong>One-click configuration import<\/strong>, so <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a DRA node already running in the field can be brought under GUI management by reading its existing configuration files, rather than starting over.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h3 data-section-id=\"8xzwbn\" data-start=\"1803\" data-end=\"1824\">Built for fleets, not just single nodes<\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The second major addition is multi-instance management. A single DRA-CT deployment can register and administer many DRA nodes, each addressed and isolated independently \u2014 a peer named <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">hss-01<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on one node never collides with a peer of the same name on another, and a request scoped to one instance simply cannot touch another&#8217;s configuration.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Every status check also verifies that the node answering is still the node the operator thinks it is, comparing the live Diameter identity against what was recorded when the instance was first registered.
