Security Edge Protection Proxy
for 5G Core
The Security Edge Protection Proxy (SEPP-5G) simplifies 5G inter-network architectures by securing, routing, and mediating HTTP/2 signaling traffic between visited and home networks, reducing interconnect complexity while improving scalability and operational control.
By acting as a centralized and hardened gateway, the SEPP-5G enhances perimeter security and governance for 5G cross-operator interworking. It supports PR_TLS and TLS up to version 1.3, message-level encryption, and strict topology hiding, providing controlled entry and exit points at the PLMN boundary to help operators enforce consistent security policies against external threats.
PAiCore SEPP-5G enables compliant and seamless international interconnection through native integration with the Network Repository Function (NRF) and IPX networks, supporting secure cross-operator service discovery, authorization, and inter-network notification handling in line with 3GPP specifications.
Designed for cloud-native environments, PAiCore SEPP-5G optimizes signaling performance and elasticity at the edge in modern deployments, with support for Docker and Kubernetes. When required, it can also interwork with existing legacy signaling environments, enabling a smooth, secure evolution from Diameter-based 4G LTE to 5G Standalone interconnects.
